This District begins at the Railway Bridge at Omoa Railway Station, and includes the Houses on the North side of the Road leading from the Omoa Station to Bellside Quarries. It also includes the Workmen's houses at Auchinlea and Bellside; Cooper's Bridge (i.e. Shawstonfoot) and outlying houses enclosed by the Carlisle Road on the South, the R. Calder on the East, Bonkle Road on the North to Muiredge. From Muiredge a road leads South to the Farm of Murdostoun Hill, (the three last mentioned roads together with the R. Calder enclose the Murdostoun Estate under which heading are grouped a No. of scattered Houses) from which a road stretches Westward forming part of the Northern boundary of the District as far as the Teeling Burn which forms the Western boundary while the boundary to the South-West is the Caledonian Railway.
