George Goodwin was born about 1818 in Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh, to
Ann Carroll was born about 1820 in Killeevan, Co. Monaghan, to Catherine Maguire ( - ) and Henry Carl, Farm Labourer ( - ).
Newtownbutler and Killeevan are about 9 miles apart, either side of Clones.
1840 They married in Ireland: Margaret's birth record (1855) says N.T.Butler which is in Fermanagh, Jane's birth record (1861) says Monaghan.
Unfortunately, the records for RC parishes available online for Newtonbutler and Killeevan don't start early enough, and they did not marry in Clones.
Margaret's birth record says 1841, Jane's has no date. 1841 would be slightly awkward if the ages of the oldest children are correct in the 1851 census but they do get slightly younger in later censuses so I'll use 1840.
Their known children (all born at the Clyde Iron Works, Tollcross, Lanarkshire unless otherwise stated) are
James born in Ireland about 1840, married Catherine Meigan in 1863, last sighting 1901. Mary Ann born in Ireland about 1842, married William Rogan in 1875, last sighting 1901. Rose Ann born about 1845, married James McCabe in 1867, last sighting 1867. John born in 1848 and probably died before 1851. Margaret (1) born in 1850 and probably died before 1855. Margaret (2) born in 1855, married Arthur McCluskey in 1890, last sighting 1890. Elizabeth born in 1858, married Patrick Corrigan in 1883, last sighting 1883. Jane born in 1861 and died in 1863.
c1840 James was born in Ireland.
c1842 Mary Ann was born in Ireland
c1845 Rose was born in Ireland or Old Monkland, Lanarkshire.
I don't know that this belongs here but it looks a reasonable fit, if we assume that John died before the 1851 Census.
1848 From the Register of Baptisms for St. Mary's, Abercromby Street, Glasgow
John, lawful child of George Goodin and Anne Goodin, five weeks old was baptised on October 15 by Fr. John Aylward with sponsors James Conly and Catherine Conly.
1850 Margaret was born at Clyde Iron Works, Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, and presumably died before 1855.

1855 A second Margaret Goodwin was born at 7h a.m. on Monday, June 25 at Clyde Iron Works to Ann Goodwin m.s. Carrol and George Goodwin, Furnaceman at Ironworks who married in 1841 at N.T. Butler [possibly wrong]. Her birth was registered No.152 at Baillieston on July 11 by George Goodwin, Father, Present.
Since this is 1855, there is additional information on the certificate about the parents. George was 35 years old, born at Newton Butler, Fermanagh, Ireland, with one boy and two girls living, two boys and two girls deceased. Ann was 30 years old, born at Killeevin, Monaghan, Ireland and Margaret was her 8th child.
We know of only two deceased children, John & Margaret, but there are sufficient gaps for another two.
Margaret was baptised in the parish of St Paul's, Eastmuir on July 8 by Fr Patrick McLaughlin with sponsors Alexander Sinclair and Ellen McOdd (McCord?).
1858 Elizabeth Goodwin was born at 5h0m p.m. on Thursday, May 13 at Clyde Iron Works to Ann Goodwin m.s. Carroll and George Goodwin, Furnaceman. Her birth was registered No.147 at Faulds, Baillieston [Old Monkland West] on May 28 by George Goodwin, Father, Present.

1861 April 7 The family were living in Rail Row, Clyde Iron Works in a house in which there were probably two room with windows, one of which was used by the family and one by the lodger (is what I infer from the census entry).
