My interest in this family arises from the connection by marriage to McGee and Dunigan.
c1835 Robert and Elizabeth married in Ireland.

John born about 1836 in Co. Derry, Ireland, married Elizabeth Dunigan in 1862 and died in 1873. Robert born about 1838 in Ireland, married Mary Hay(s) in 1867, last sighting 1871. Thomas born about 1842 in Shettleston, married Catherine McGee in 1861 and died in 1875. Mary born about 1849 in Shettleston, married John Moan in 1867, last sighting 1881.
c1836 John was born in Co. Derry, Ireland.
c1838 Robert was born in Ireland.
c1842 Thomas was born in Shettleston, Lanarkshire.
c1847 Mary was born in Shettleston, Lanarkshire.
I believe this is John and Thomas in the Census of 1861, in the following household in Gartloch Road, Roughazie in a house with two windowed rooms.

1861 On Tuesday, April 23, Thomas McNulty married Catherine McGee at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Eastmuir, Shettleston. [See Section MY-6-3 for further details.]
Catherine's mother was Catherine Dunigan who may have been a cousin of Elizabeth Dunigan (below) and may have been half-sister to Sarah Dunigan who married James McGee in 1830 (who has no known connection to Catherine's father, William McGee).
1862 On Monday, July 7, John McAnulty married Elizabeth Dunigan at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Eastmuir, Shettleston. [See Section MY-6-1 for further details.]
1863 On Friday, October 16, Robert McAnulty married Mary Hay[s] at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Eastmuir, Shettleston. [See Section MY-6-2 for further details.]
1867 On Thursday, June 6, Mary McAnulty married John Moan at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Eastmuir, Shettleston. [See below for further information.]
John Moan was born about 1843 in Ireland to Anne Hughes ( - ) and Bernard Moan, Brick Setter ( - ).
Mary McAnulty was born about 1847 in Shettleston to Margaret (or Elizabeth) Murray ( - ) and Robert McAnulty, Coal Miner ( - ). [See above for family background.
1867 On Thursday, June 6, John Moan and Mary McAnulty were married at Eastmuir, Shettleston [St. Paul's] after Banns according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.13 at Shettleston on the following day.
John was a Bachelor, gave his age as 24, occupation Brick Setter and usual residence Shettleston, Lanark. His parents are recorded as Bernard Moan, Brick Setter and Anne Moan m.s. Hughes.
Mary was a Spinster, gave her age as 20, occupation Steam Loom Weaver and usual residence also Shettleston, Lanark. Her parents are recorded as Robert McAnulty, Coal Miner and Margaret McAnulty m.s. Murray.
The celebrant was P. McLaughlin, Pastor of St. Paul's Rom. Cath. Church, Eastmuir and the witnesses were Thomas Kirwin and Margaret Kirwin.
All four parties made their marks.
