I can't see a marriage for Thomas and Annie but there are some baptisms with parents Thomas Buchan(n)an and Ann Glen in the OPR for Shotts Parish.
1816 “Thomas Buchannan, Moulder at Shotts Iron Works, & Ann Glen, Spouse, had a son born there upon [Wednesday] the 4th of December and Baptized upon [Saturday] the 25th January 1817 and named Charles.”
1819 “Thomas Buchanan, a Moulder at Shotts Iron Works, and Ann Glen, Spouse, had a son born there upon [Sunday] the 9th of May and Baptized [Sunday] the 18th July and named James Buchanan.”
1822 “Thomas Buchanan, Moulder, residing at Hungarhimout, Bothwell Parish, and Jane Glen his Spouse, had a son born there upon [Saturday] the 16th of February and Baptized here upon [Sunday] the 24th of March and named Isabella Buchanan.”
Mary Clarkson was born about 1814 in Newarthill, Lanarkshire to Jane Bissett ( - ) and Samuel Clarkson, Coal Miner ( - ).
I can't see a marriage for her parents or her baptism. [There is a baptism for a probably unrelated Samuel Clarkson on September 23, 1820 with parents John Clarkson and Jane McAlpin in Shotts. (OPR 655/40 Page 11)
1834 Charles Buchanan and Mary Clarkson paid the sum of 4/-, on Saturday, September 20 in Bothwell Parish. There is no further information in the ledger entry for this event but three other entries for the same date suggest that it was for the Publication of Banns.
Charles and Mary had the following children (that I know of) —
Ann born about 1837 in Bothwell Parish, last sighting 1851. Thomas born about 1840 in Cambusnethan, last sighting 1889. Jane born about 1843 in Newarthill, last sighting 1861. Mary born about 1845 in Shotts, last sighting 1861. Charles born about 1849 in Shotts, last sighting 1861. Samuel born about 1852 in Newarthill, last sighting 1871. Andrew born about 1855 in Newarthill, married Elizabeth Lafferty in 1876, last sighting 1911. I have found no baptisms for these children in the OPR or Other Churches.
1841 March 30 Mary and two children were living with her mother(?) and brother(?) somewhere in Newarthill.

His parents are recorded as Thomas Buchanan, Iron Moulder and Annie Buchanan m.s. Glen, both deceased. His death was registered No.124 at Holytown on the following day by Thomas Buchanan, "his X mark", Son, Watson's Square, Newarthill.
1889 Mary Buchanan, Pauper, Widow of Charles Buchanan, died at 5h30m p.m. on Monday, September 30 at Jack's Land, Newarthill, District of Holytown, age 79 years, of Senilis as certified by John Taylor, Physician and Surgeon. Her parents are recorded as Samuel Clarkson, Coalminer and Jane Clarkson m.s. Bissett, both deceased. Her death was registered No.140 at Holytown on the following day by Thomas Buchanan, "his X mark", Son, Present.
