Friends

This page includes those friends identified as school chums or college classmates.

  • Alumni of the Avenue College
  • Julia Keyes, later Mrs Thomas Adamson
  • Kattie Brown
  • Mary Murphy
  • Sara
  • Which is not to say there are no others. There are many unpictured names in the index to the Autograph books and many unnamed pictures in montages and amongst the others, while others just sent postcards.

Then there are other friends met in later life whose names are more familiar to us.

  • Pat Dowd
  • Nellie O'Brien
  • Gladys McHale
  • The Heaneys of Broxburn

While the teacher doesn't look a lot like the photo above,
there is enough similarity in the handwriting to convince me
that Kattie sent it. I put her appearance down to stress.
