Patrick (1876 - after 1901) married Rose Ann Duffy in 1896, last sighting 1901. Thomas (1878 - after 1911) married Helen Logue in 1897 and is covered elsewhere. Joseph (1880 - after 1911) married Catherine Ferrie in 1900 and is covered elsewhere. John (1882 - after 1911) married Agnes McComb in 1903 and is covered elsewhere. Francis (1884 - after 1911) married Margaret Mulroney in 1907, last sighting 1911. Mary (1) (1886 - 1890) Ellen born in 1889 at Omoa Square, Cleland, last sighting 1911. Mary (2) (1891 - 1891)
Patrick Houston was born on Wednesday, September 13, 1876 at Watson's Square, Newarthill to Sarah Reynolds (1854 - 1891) and Cornelius Houston, Coal Miner (c1852 - 1898). [See Section HN-6-4 for family background.]
Rose Ann Duffy was born about 1875 in Rutherglen to Mary Cougan ( - ) and John Duffy, Labourer ( - ).
1896 On Thursday, December 31, Patrick Houston and Rose Ann Duffy were married in The Catholic Chapel, Rutherglen [St. Columbkille's] after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.7 at Rutherglen on January 4, 1897.
Patrick was a Bachelor, age 20, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence Lightburn, Cambuslang. His parents are recorded as Cornelius Houston, Coal Miner and Sarah Houston m.s. Reynolds.
Rose Ann was a Spinster, gave her age as 21, occupation Power Loom Weaver and usual residence 22 Harriet Street, Rutherglen. Her parents are recorded as John Duffy, Chemical Works Labourer and Margaret Duffy m.s. Cougan.
The celebrant was Fr. Timothy O'Sullivan and the witnesses were Hugh Duffy and Sarah McNamara. All parties signed.
[I have no reason to suspect any link between Margaret Duffy m.s. Cougan and Sarah Coogans who married Patrick's uncle Thomas Houston in 1870, or with Eliza Coogans who married Patrick's uncle Patrick in 1871.]

c1899 I can't see a birth for Margaret in Lanarkshire.
Francis Houston was born on Thursday, May 29, 1884 at 68 Omoa Square, Cleland to Sarah Reynolds (1854 - 1891) and Cornelius Houston, Coal Miner (c1852 - 1898). [See Section HN-6-4 for family background.]
Margaret Mulroney was born about 1877 to Catherine Shearen ( - ) and Patrick Mulroney, Coal Miner ( - before 1907).
1901 March 31 This is probably Francis in a house in Uddingston, Bellshill Road - Lindams.
1907 On Wednesday, October 16, Francis Houston and Margaret Mulroney [Margaret scored out and replaced with Marget but still Margaret in the index] were married at the Roman Catholic Chapel, Cleland [St. Mary's] after Banns and Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.28 at Cleland on the following day.
Francis was a Bachelor, gave his age as 26 [he was 23], occupation Coalminer and usual residence Omoa Square, Cleland. His parents are recorded as Con Houston, Coalminer and Sarah Houston m.s. Reynolds, both deceased.
Margaret was a Spinster, gave her age as 30, no occupation recorded and usual residence also Omoa Square, Cleland. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Mulroney, Coalminer (deceased) and Catherine Mulroney m.s. Shearen.
The celebrant was Peter Murray and the witnesses were Peter McQuade and Catherine Docherty.

1910 Sarah Houston was born at 7h0m p.m. on Thursday, April 28 at 61 Omoa Square, Cleland to Margaret Houston m.s. Mulrooney and Francis Houston, Coalminer who married on October 16, 1907 at Cleland. Her birth was registered No.73 at Cleland on May 16 by Francis Houston, Father, Present.
1911 April 2 The family were living at 61 Omoa Square, Cleland in a house with 1 windowed room.
