Emily Welsh was born at 6h30m a.m. on Friday, April 30, 1875 at Craighead, Shotts Parish to Mary Ann Welsh, m.s. Smith and William Welsh, Carter who married on November 11, 1869 at a place which appears to be written as Tantaraughin, Co. Armagh but I think may be the parish of Loughgall and Tartaraghin. Her birth was registered No.165 on May 15 at Shotts by William Welsh, "his X mark", Father, Present.
I have consulted the Register of Marriages for Loughgall and Tartaraghin between 1867 and 1874 and failed to find the marriage.
1895 On Sunday, December 22, Cornelius Houston and Emily Welsh were married at St Joseph’s, Blantyre after Banns according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.79 at Blantyre on December 27.
Cornelius was a Bachelor, gave his age as 20 [he was three weeks short of his 22nd birthday], occupation Coal Miner and usual address as 18 Spittall Rows, Cambuslang. His parents are recorded as Cornelius Houston, Coal Miner and Sarah Houston, m.s. Reynolds (Deceased).
Emily was a Spinster, gave her age as 19 [she was 20], occupation Cotton Factory Weaver and usual address as 17 Spittall Rows, Cambuslang. Her parents are recorded as William Welsh, Coal Miner (Deceased) and Mary Ann Welsh, m.s. Smith.
The celebrant was Fr. James McDonnell and the witnesses were Michael Cassidy and Mary Connelly. All parties were able to sign their names.

1900 Sarah Houston was born at 7h30m p.m. on Thursday, September 20 at 41 Spittal Row, Newton, Cambuslang to Emily Houston m.s. Cornelius & Emily have been married for 15 years and produced 8 children of whom 6 were still living. The deceased are the first Sarah (1901 - 1902) and Emily (1902 - 1903).
1911 Cornelius Houston, Coal Miner, married to Emily Welsh, died at 3h10m p.m. on December 2 aged 37 at 15 Caldervale Rows, Blantyre of Cardiac Vascular Disease (1 year) as certified by James Carruthers, M.B.Ch.B.
