1892 On Thursday, November 3, Patrick Carroll and Agnes McKerracher were married at St Paul's R.C. Church, Shettleston after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.76 at Shettleston on November 7.
Patrick was a Bachelor, gave his age as 27, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence Easterhill Street, Tollcross. His parents are recorded as Bernard Carroll, Coal Miner (deceased) and Jane Carrol m.s. Duffy.
Agnes was a Spinster, gave her age as 23, occupation Steam Loom Weaver and usual residence also Easterhill Street, Tollcross. Her parents are recorded as Daniel McKerracher, Furnaceman and and Lizzie McKerracher m.s. Ward.
The celebrant was Joseph Van Hecke and the witnesses were Edward Carroll and Lizzie McKerracher.

1900 Agnes Carroll married to Patrick Carroll, died at 3h0m p.m. on Friday, August 17 at 112½ Main Street, Tollcross, age 30 years, of Shock due to Inversion of Uterus following labour, as certified by Dugald McKinlay, M.B.Ch.B. Her parents are recorded as Daniel McKerracher, Furnaceman and Helen McKerracher m.s. Ward (deceased). Her death was registered No.266 at Shettleston on the following day by Patrick Carroll, Widower.
1901 March 31 And here we have Patrick and his children living with his father-in-law (despite what the census record says) at 34 Easterhill Street, Tollcross in a house with two windowed rooms.

Catherine Scanlan was born on Friday, April 5, 1872 in Hutchesontown, Glasgow to Norah Barry ( - ) and Richard Scanlan, Paper Maker (Journeyman) ( - about 1880). [See Section SC-6-1 for family background]
1904 On Friday, December 30, Patrick Carroll and Catherine Scanlan or McGhee were married at the Sacred Heart Chapel [Bridgeton], Glasgow after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.17 at Glasgow on January 3, 1905.
Patrick was a Widower, gave his age as 39, occupation Coalminer and usual residence 32 Easterhill Street, Tollcross. His parents are recorded as Bernard Carroll, Coalminer (deceased) and Jane Ferne, formerly Carroll m.s. Duffy.
Catherine was a Widow, gave her age as 32, no occupation recorded and usual residence 24 Adelphi Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow. Her parents are recorded as Richard Scanlan, Papermaker (deceased) and Norah Mulrine, formerly Scanlan m.s. Barry.

1908 Elizabeth Carroll was born at 1h0m a.m. on Tuesday, July 14 at 11 Braidfauld Street, Tollcross to Catherine Carroll, previously McGhee m.s. Scanlan and Patrick Carroll, Coalminer who married on December 30, 1904 at Bridgeton, Glasgow. Her birth was registered No.643 at Shettleston on July 17 by Patrick Carroll, Father.

1910 Richard Carroll was born at 12h noon on Wednesday, June 22 at 11 Braidfauld Street, Tollcross to Catherine Carroll, previously McGhee m.s. Scanlon and Patrick Carroll, Coal Miner who married on December 30, 1904 in Bridgeton, Glasgow. His birth was registered No.467 at Shettleston on June 25 by Patrick Carrol, Father.
1911 April 2 The family were still living at 11 Braidfauld Street, Tollcross in a house with 2 windowed rooms.

Catherine and Patrick had been married for 6 years and produced 3 children, all of whom were still living.
Patrick's son Patrick by his first marriage to Agnes McKerracher is just round the corner in Easterhill Street with his maternal grandfather.
The appearance of John (13) here is interesting. He does not appear with the family in 1901, and I can find no corresponding birth registered in Shettleston between Nellie and Daniel.
However, Catherine had a son John with her first husband Patrick McGee who would be 13 at this date. She had another son Richard who would be 11 were he still alive but the appearance of Richard above suggests to me that he may have died. Further investigation required.
1930 Patrick Carroll, Formerly a Coal Miner, married to 1st Agnes McKerracher, 2nd Catherine Scanlan or McGhee, died at 11h a.m. on Tuesday, May 25 at 958 Tollcross Road, Glasgow, age 67 years, of Chronic Fibroid Bronchitis, 5 years, Cardiac Weakness, as certified by Dugald McKinlay. His parents are recorded as Bernard Carroll, Coal Miner and Jane Carroll, afterwards Ferne m.s. Duffy, both deceased. His death was registered No.151 at Glasgow [Shettleston District] on May 27 by Patrick Carroll, Son, 138 Easterhill Street, Glasgow.
1936 On Friday, August 14, Lizzie married Daniel Mullen in St. Joseph's, Tollcross. [See Section MN-7-1 for further information.]
