Postcards from Murty & Gus

MH was a prolific correspondent so gets a page of his own.
I suspect that he is the person mentioned as "Murty", who together with his side-kick Gus,
appears to have some responsibility for "Sandy" who may or may not be a dog.
(Despite the photograph!)

(possibly Murty) and his side-kick Gus, not to mention Sandy.

"Thanks for P.C. I am still
touring but the other side
will let you know how
I am getting along. Thinking
of enlisting only it might
mean sudden end. Just
going to the Empire for
a nights sport. Hope you
are still looking after MH

"I have just been visiting the old spot. I have Murty with me
he is blowing his horn as usual ??lling ??? ?? ?? writing P.C.s but
don't you believe anything he says. Have been along to
the spot beneath the trees the spot you should know where you
first - I would say any more about it. You might blush &
they would be asking you what was the matter - that
would never do would it? Give my love to Bab, dont
forget now (Sandy's keeper)"

"Dear L
Just a P.C. got the boy home all right Sunday night
will see he is all right on Friday night. I am after getting
a hot one from Father G. He says he is for the Ball on
Friday to keep me in company & try to make up for what I will
miss. Of course he doesn't mane anything. Oh no M.H.

Ask Gerrard if he still minds Dirty Paddy"
