The Australian Connection — C.B. MacKenzie

Although C.B MacKenzie appears to be a resident of Paisley, I consider him to be part of the Australian Connection since he appears in the role of "go-between" introducing Lena to Australian soldiers.

"Many thanks for
P.T's Rabbie Burns.
Also for letter & bag
of bicks. They
were enjoyed immensely, and both
have taken some as a memento
of the occasion, They left last
night for France and are
there by now. Am feeling
rather lost today. They have
had a "good time". Will write
on Sunday. Kind regards to all. C.B.Mac"

"3.10.18 Have returned from alleged
Summer holidays, was
unable to put on the
tint usually acquired
on holiday. Seriously thinking
of acquiring it from chemist
just to be in it. Hope all
well and that you have
settled down to the serious business
of life. After recent dissipations,
Joe says he is gradually coming
to himself, and thinking of another
furlough. I will write in a day or two. Kind regards
C.B. MacK"
