The Shotts Connection

Lena's older sister Margaret (Peg) preceded her to Scotland as a teacher and married Richard Reynolds in Shotts, Lanarkshire in 1912. They had three children, Gerard (1913), Lena (1915 - 1994) and Willie (1918)

753 Fr James Kearney was born in Glasha, Co. Waterford, in 1872, and was ordained in 1902. He was a curate in St Patrick's, Shotts from 1904 until 1918 and Parish Priest of the combined parishes of St Paul's and St Mark's, Shettleston from 1923 until his death in 1945.
