1885 On Thursday, December 31, Edward McGarry and Elizabeth Scott were married at Fairbairn Free Church, [Bridgeton,] Glasgow after Publication according to the Forms of the Free Church of Scotland. The marriage was registered No.50 at Glasgow [Bridgeton District] on January 4, 1886.
Edward was a Bachelor, gave his age as 22, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence 26 (or 16) Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow. His parents are recorded as Patrick McGarry, Coal Miner and Sarah McGarry m.s. Higgins.
Elizabeth was a Spinster, gave her age as 23, occupation Pottery Worker and usual residence also 26 (or 16) Dalmarnock Road, Glasgow. Her parents are recorded as Robert Scott, House Painter (Journeyman) (deceased) and Jane Scott m.s. Clark.
The officiating minister was Gilbert Laurie and the witnesses were John Watters and Mary McGarry.
Elizabeth made "her X mark", the other parties apparently signed.

Jane was a Spinster, age 19, occupation Domestic Servant and usual residence 33 Caldervale Rows, Blantyre. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner and Sarah Reynolds m.s. Carroll.
The celebrant was Angus McEachan and the witnesses were Patrick Reynolds and Annie Rouse.

1911 April 2 Patrick and Jane were living at 3 Caldervale Terrace, Stonefield, Blantyre in a house with 2 windowed rooms. (Jane's parents were at No.33 and Patrick's parents at No.36.)
Patrick and Jane had been married for 1 year and produced no children. (Well, they'd only been married 8½ months.)
I suspect that the visitor, Sarah Kelly, is Jane's niece who has been double-entered with her parents Thomas and Ellen (Reynolds), despite having the wrong age here. (She was two months short of her 8th birthday.)
To add to the confusion, it would appear that Patrick has also been double-entered at his parental home further up the street, three doors from Jane's parents.
I won't hazard a guess as to who was where on the night.
I have no reason (at present) to believe we have any connection with the other Kellys.
