[This file is a place holder to link three brothers who appear in Shettleston.]
Patrick Lynch, born about 1833, who married Ann McGee in 1855. John Lynch, born about 1835, who married (1) Isabella Sneddon before 1860 and (2) Mary Hally in 1864. Thomas Lynch, born about 1837, who married Margaret Murphy in 1867. Patrick's marriage certificate is the only source of real information about the parents (assuming it is accurate).
I read his birthplace as Killmashulligan, Co. Sligo but have been unable to find anything to confirm this name on a map or as a townland name. However, I did come across the Parish of Kilmacshalgan in the Poor Law Union of Dromore West (on the south side of Sligo Bay).
A search of Catholic Registers on the National Library of Ireland site turned up Templeboy and Kilmacshalgan in the Diocese of Killala but, while there was the occasional occurrence of Lynch and Murray, I failed to find any relevant entries. [Checked marriages 1828 - 1833 inc.]
He states that his father Patrick was a Labourer and his mother Mary a Maid Servant. Both were dead by 1855.
1855 November 15 Patrick Lynch married Ann McGee at Dalbeth, Shettleston, Lanarkshire. [See Section LH-6-1 for further information.]
1858/9 John Lynch married Isabella Sneddon in Glasgow. [See Section LH-6-2 for further information.]

I strongly suspect that this Bridget is a sister of Mary Murray, mother of Patrick, John and Thomas.
She appears as a lodger with John and Mary (Hally) in 1871 and registered the birth of their daughter Margaret in 1872.
1882 Bridget Murray (Single) died at 0h30m p.m. on Saturday, December 23 at 9 Gray Street, Shettleston, age about 95 years, parents unknown, no medical attendant. Her death was registered No.185 at Shettleston on December 25 by John McPheely, Acquaintance.
There is an entry in the Register of Corrected Entries for the District of Shettleston (622/3) in the County of Lanark.
"Transmission of result of Precognition after the Registration of a Death in the ordinary way. The following Report of result of a Precognition has been received touching the death of Bridget Murray Registered under the No.185 in the Register Book of Deaths for the year 1882."
