Postcards from Pat

and a few from Denis

Two-dimensional scans do not do justice
to these embroidered cards, especially in regard
to the lustre of the embroidery thread.

Most of the embroidery is on a flap which covers a pocket.

None of the cards is stamped so I assume
that they were sent within envelopes.

The pocket of the card below contains the cloth badge on the right.

This card is not in the pocket,
but loose between the pages.
It appears to be plastic
so I think it is of a later date than the cards.

There is another embroidered card from Nellie O'Brien.

"Sorry I can't find one of you yet. I have been looking all over the place, the camera must have missed you, what do you think of Miss O.B.? She looks allright. She did not manage to get behind the flag this time. Cashel seems allright, It looks beautiful on the P.C. anyway. Of course, all places do. We have had no rain in Broxburn since you left. The heat is something great just now, its about 100 in the shade. Who told you about the tax I had to pay. I'll x------x - Regards, PD."

You have not as many
arches in Tipp. not even
in Ireland. How is
the "new arrival", always
spending your precious time
looking after it, Lucky Dog.
M.H. sails for Ireland
tonight. Be careful.
Always enjoying yourself,
K. Regards,
