Friday, March 31 — With replacement looming, I took a few shots on Friday afternoon.

Day 1, Wednesday, 5th — The scaffolding was erected in one day. I took the first three shots at the front that evening and the next three at the back on Friday morning.

Day 4, Saturday, 8th — The roofers started, stripped most of the roof and felted it. I took the first 4 shots at lunchtime, the next four that evening and two early on Sunday morning.

Day 5, Sunday, 9th — They finished stripping the roof and demolished the chimney stacks. (Ouch.) All three shots in the evening.

Day 6, Monday, 10th — It took most of the day to raise the new tiles onto the roof. Two shots in the evening, the third early next morning.

Day 7, Tuesday, 11th — Most of the new tiles were installed, new skylights and guttering. Again, first two shots in the evening, the third early next morning.

Day 8, Wednesday, 12th — Roof finished and work started above the bay windows. All three shots taken in the evening.

Day 9, Thursday, 13th — A rest day.

Day 10, Friday, 14th — More work above the bay windows and round the back but not much visible change so no photos. In fact, since there was no obvious change for a while, I sort of lost interest in taking photos.

Monday, 17th — Scaffolding on my half of the block was taken down, much to my relief. Next door still to be re-roughcast.

Monday, 24th — A few more photos before the roughcasting starts next door.

Sunday, 14th May — Rone pipe at front apparently blocked, one man arrived and dug it up in pouring rain.

Monday, 15th May — Last of scaffolding removed. Rone pipe at front disintegrated in pouring rain. Someone arrived and fixed it.
