Richard & Mary had the following children (that I know of) —
Patrick (1874 - 1961) married Ellen Leonard in 1896 and is covered elsewhere. Ellen (1877 - 1939) married Bernard Carty in 1895 and is covered elsewhere. Mary (1880 - after 1930) married John Kennedy in 1901 and is covered elsewhere. Jane (1) (1883 - 1884) Richard (1885 - 1945) married Margaret Dunne in 1912 and is covered elsewhere. Jane (2) (1888 - 1976) married James MacLachlan in 1915 and is covered elsewhere. Agnes (1890 - 1968) married Thomas Conner in 1915. Sarah (1892 - 1973) married John Sweeney in 1921 Catherine (1895 - 1966) married Stanley Wilson in 1917.
Agnes (Aggie) was born on Tuesday, August 12, 1890 at Ladylands. She appears with the family in the censuses of 1891, 1901 and 1911.
1911 Agnes Reynolds (Illegitimate) was born at 5h0m a.m. on Tuesday, September 26 at Redhall, Stane, Cambusnethan to Agnes Reynolds, Domestic Servant, no father recorded. Her birth was registered No.260 at Stane [Calderhead District] on October 23 by Agnes Reynolds, Mother.
1914 On Thursday, December 31, Thomas Connor and Agnes Reynolds were married at the R.C. Church, Shotts [St Patrick's] after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.4 at Stane [Calderhead District] on January 4, 1915.
Thomas was a Bachelor, gave his age as 25, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence 10 Stane Place, Shotts. His parents are recorded as John Connor, Coal Miner and Margaret Connor m.s. Waddell.
Agnes was a Spinster, age 24, occupation Domestic Servant and usual residence 93 Stane Place, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as Richard Reynolds, Coal Miner and Mary Reynolds m.s. Lafferty.
The celebrant was Robert Patterson and the witnesses were Patrick Connor and K. Reynolds [probably Katie - Agnes's sister].
1917 Mary (May) Connor was born at 3h15m a.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at 61 Stane Place, Stane, Cambusnethan to Agnes Connor m.s. Reynolds and Thomas Connor, Coal Miner who married on January 1, 1915 [sic] at Calderhead. Her birth was registered No.156 at Stane on the same day by Thomas Connor, Father, Present.
1940 On Tuesday, July 9 May Connor and Michael McHugh were married at St. Patrick's, Shotts After Publication According to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registerd No.48 at Shotts [Calderhead District] on July 12.
Michael McHugh was a Bachelor, gave his age as 32, occupation Omnibus Driver and usual residence 11 Hunter Place, Shotts. His parents are recorded as Michael McHugh, Colliery Shotfirer and Catherine McHugh, m.s. Sherry.
Mary (May) Connor was a Spinster, age 23, occupation Clerkess and usual residence 128 Springhill Road, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as Thomas Connor, Coal Miner (deceased) and Agnes Connor, m.s. Reynolds.
The celebrant was Fr. Michael Little, Clergyman, St. Patrick's, Shotts and the witnesses were James Kelly, 111 Torbothie Road, Shotts and Agnes Reynolds, 128 Springhill Road, Shotts.
1946 On Tuesday, October 8, Thomas Campbell and Agnes Reynolds [Nannie] were married at St. Patrick's Church, Shotts after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.86 at Shotts (Calderhead District) on October 11.
Thomas was a Bachelor, gave his age as 37, occupation Postal Clerk and usual residence 115 Station Road, Shotts. His parents are recorded as Thomas Campbell, Shoemaker and Elizabeth Campbell m.s. Condron (deceased).
Agnes was a Spinster, gave her age as 35, occupation School Teacher and usual residence 128 Springhill Road, Shotts. Her mother is recorded as Agnes Reynolds, Domestic Servant, afterwards married to Thomas Connor, Coal Miner. No father recorded.
The celebrant was David Harty, Catholic Priest and the witnesses were Thomas Travers, 11 Rufflees Avenue, Barrhead and Helena Mary Reynolds, 2045 London Road, Glasgow E2.
1952 June 7 I can't remember where I got this date from but there is the death of a Michael McHugh, age 43, registered in Dalziel (639-273) which would fit. (There is also the death of a Michael McHugh, age 67, registered in Shotts (569-276) in 1972.)
1968 Agnes Connor, Date of Birth 12/8/1890, age 77 years, Widow of Thomas Connor, Coal Miner, died at 7h30m a.m. on Tuesday, May 28 at 4 Redhaws Road, [Stane,] Shotts of 1(a)Coronary Thrombosis, (b) Left Ventricular Failure, certified by V. Ambujakshan, M.B.B.S. Her parents are recorded as Richard Reynolds, Coal Miner and Mary Reynolds m.s. Lafferty, both deceased. Her death was registered No.107 in Calderhead District on the same day by Agnes Campbell, Daughter.
1979 Thomas Campbell, Date of Birth May 1, 1909, age 70 years, Occupational Therapist (Retired), Married to Agnes Reynolds, died at 0925 hours on Tuesday, November 20 at Law Hospital, Carluke, usual residence 23 Lansdown Crescent, [Springhill,] Shotts, of I(a) Bronchio Pneumonia, II Cerebro-vascular accident, certified by M.S. Rahman. His parents are recorded as Thomas Campbell, Shoemaker and Elizabeth Condron, both deceased. His death was registered No.273 at Shotts on the same day by M.A. McHugh, Nephew, of 21 Cairnie Place, Whitburn.
1994 Mary McHugh, Date of Birth 1917-6-19, age 76 years, Widow of Michael McHugh, Omnibus Driver, died at 2305 hours on Saturday, February 12 at Law Hospital, Carluke, usual residence 585 Merry Street, Motherwell ML1 1HA, of I(a) Pneumonia (b) Cardiac Failure II Cerebrovascular Accident, as certified by Uta Bronnman. Her parents are recorded as Thomas Connor, Coal Miner and Agnes Connor m.s. Reynolds, both deceased. Her death was registered No.134 at Motherwell on February 14 by M.A.McHugh, Son, 23 Cairnie Place, Whitburn EH47 8HZ
Sarah was born on Thursday, October 25, 1892 at Woodhead Brig House, Dykehead, Shotts [that's what the register says]. She appears with the family in the census of 1901. I am inclined to accept that she was working at St. Augustine's Rectory, Coatbridge in 1911.
1921 On Thursday, September 1, John Sweeney and Sarah Reynolds were married at the R.C. Church, Shotts [St. Patrick's] after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.43 at Stane on the following day.
John was a Bachelor, gave his age as 33, occupation Colliery Fireman and usual residence 35 High Street, Shotts. His parents are recorded as William Sweeney, Furnace Filler (deceased) and Margaret Sweeney m.s. Cussick.
Sarah was a Spinster, age 28, occupation Pithead Worker and usual residence 93 Stane Place, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as Richard Reynolds, Coal Miner (deceased) and Mary Reynolds m.s. Lafferty.
The celebrant was Thomas Dunphy, R.C. Clergyman and the witnesses were Patrick Sweeney and Mary Carty [probably Sarah's cousin].
They lived in Shotts and had three children, William, Richard (Dick) and John. Sarah died in Shotts on Tuesday, January 16, 1973 and was buried in Stane Cemetery after Requiem Mass in St. Patrick's, Shotts.
1973 Sarah Sweeney, Date of Birth 1892-10-25, age 80 years, Widow of John Sweeney, Colliery Deputy died at 0645 hours on Tuesday, January 16 at 38 Burnside Crescent, [Dykehead,] Shotts, of I(a) Renal Failure, (b) Diabetes Mallitus, (c) Bed Sores, II Fracture of Right Femur, M. Atigur Rahman. Her parents are recorded as Richard Reynolds, Coal Miner and Mary Reynolds m.s. Lafferty, both deceased. Her death was registered No.30 in Shotts District on the following day by John Sweeney, Son, 1 Fortissat Avenue, [Dykehead,] Shotts.
