1907 On Tuesday, December 31, James Nolan and Mary Carroll were married at the Roman Catholic Chapel, Cleland [St. Mary's] after Banns and Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.8 at Cleland on January 2, 1908.
James was a Bachelor, gave his age as 24 [he was 26], occupation Coalminer and usual residence Omoa Road, Cleland. His parents are recorded as William Nolan, Quarryman (deceased) and Mary Nolan m.s. Lafferty.
Mary was a Spinster, gave her age as 21, no occupation recorded and usual residence Omoa Square, Cleland. Her parents are recorded as William Carroll, Labourer and May Carroll m.s. Murphy.
The celebrant was Peter Murray and the witnesses were James Carroll and Lizzie Carroll [probably Mary's siblings].

1908 Mary Nolan was born at 9h30m a.m. on Wednesday, November 4 at 18 Omoa Square, Cleland to Mary Nolan m.s. Carroll and James Nolan, Coalminer who married on December 31, 1907 in Cleland. Her birth was registered No.160 at Cleland on November 6 by James Nolan, Father.
Sadly, Mary lived less than 5 months.
1909 Mary Nolan (Single) died at 8h30m p.m. on Thursday, March 25 at 18 Omoa Square, Cleland, age 5 months, of Tuberculous Meningitis as certified by A.A. Carruthers, M.B.Ch.B. Her parents are recorded as James Nolan, Coalminer and Mary Nolan m.s. Carroll. Her death was registered No.33 at Cleland on the same day by James Nolan, Father, Present.
1910 William Nolan was born at 5h0m a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at 18 Omoa Square, Cleland to Mary Nolan m.s. Carroll and James Nolan, Coalminer who married on January 1, 1908 [sic] in Cleland. His birth was registered No.79 at Cleland on May 22 by James Nolan, Father, Present.
Sadly, William lived for only 3 months.
1910 William Nolan (Single) died at 6h30m p.m. on Tuesday, August 9 at Omoa Square, Cleland, age 3 months, of Cerebro Spinal Meningitis after 4 days as certified by John Lithgow, M.D. His parents are recorded as James Nolan, Coalminer and Mary Nolan m.s. Carrol. His death was registered No.73 at Cleland on the same day by James Nolan, Father, Present.
1911 April 2 The family were living at 18 Omoa Square in a house with one windowed room.
