Elizabeth Dunigan was born in Shettleston about 1835 to Mary Smith (c1807 - 1897) and Henry Dunigan (c1801 - 1870). [See Section DG-5-2 for family background.]
1862 On Monday, July 7, John McNulty [sic] and Elizabeth Dunigan were married at Eastmuir, Shettleston [St. Paul's] After Banns According to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.20 at Shettleston on July 10.
John was a Bachelor, gave his age as 26, occupation Coal Miner and usual address Garthamlock, Shettleston Parish. His parents are recorded as Robert McAnulty and Elizabeth McAnulty m.s. Murray.
Elizabeth was a Spinster, gave her age as 24 [she was nearer 29], occupation Cotton Weaver and usual residence Shettleston, Lanark. Her parents are recorded as Henry Dunigan, Cotton Weaver and Mary Dunigan m.s. Smith.
The celebrant was P. McLaughlin, Pastor of St. Paul's R. Cath. Church, Eastmuir and the witnesses were Robert McNulty [probably John's brother] and Catherine Dunigan [probably Elizabeth's sister].
The marriage is also recorded in the register of St. Paul's, Eastmuir

John born in 1874 in Shettleston, died in 1875.
1863 Robert McAnulty was born at 9h0m a.m. on Tuesday, April 21 at Shettleston, Lanark to Elizabeth McAnulty m.s. Dunigan and John McAnulty, Coal Miner who married on July 7, 1862 at Eastmuir. His birth was registered No.76 at Shettleston on the following day by Mary Dunigan, "her X mark", Grandmother, Present.
He was baptised (as Robert McNulty) on the 22nd by Fr. Patrick McLaughlin in the parish of St. Paul's Eastmuir with sponsors Henry Dunigan and Catherine Dunigan [probably Elizabeth's brother and sister].
1865 Mary Smith McAnulty was born at 12h noon on Sunday, May 21 at Templeton, Auchinleck to Elizabeth McAnulty m.s. Dunnigan and John McAnulty, Miner who married on July 7, 1862 at Shettleston, Glasgow. Her birth was registered No.102 at Auchinleck on May 24 by John McAnulty, Father.
1867 Elizabeth McNulty was born at 11h0m a.m. on Saturday, November 9 at Eastmuir, Shettleston, Lanark to Elizabeth McNulty m.s. Dunigan and John McNulty, Coal Miner who married on July 7, 1862 at Eastmuir. Her birth was registered No.250 at Shettleston on November 23 by Elizabeth McNulty, "her X mark", Grandmother residing in Shettleston, Not Present.
Sadly, Elizabeth died in 1879, age 12.
1869 Margaret McAnulty was born at 9h0m a.m. on Tuesday, December 21 at Middlequarter, Shettleston, Lanark to Elizabeth McAnulty m.s. Dunigan and John McAnulty, Coal Miner who married on July 7, 1862 at Eastmuir. Her birth was registered No.233 at Shettleston on December 24 by John McAnulty, Father.
She was baptised by Fr. Patrick McLaughlin in the parish of St. Paul's, Eastmuir on January 5, 1870 with sponsor Mary Smith (probably her grandmother but I am under the impression that she was not a Catholic). Her date of birth is given here as December 24.

He was baptised by Fr. George McBrearty in the parish of St. Paul's, Eastmuir on March 11 with sponsor Mrs Donegan.
Sadly, Henry died in 1875, age 3.
1873 John McAnulty, Coal Miner, Married to Elizabeth Dunnigan [sic], died at 5h30m p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 at Shettleston, Lanark, age 40 years, of Bronchitis after Two years, as certified by William Young, Surgeon. His parents are recorded as Robert McAnulty, Coal Miner (deceased) and Elizabeth McAnulty m.s. Murray. His death was registered No.130 at Shettleston on October 17 by Henry Dunigan, Brother in law, resident in Shettleston.
1874 John McAnulty was born at 2h0m a.m. on Sunday, May 31 at Green Street, Shettleston, Lanark to Elizabeth McAnulty m.s. Dunigan and John McAnulty, Coal Miner (deceased) who married on July 7, 1862 in Shettleston Parish. His birth was registered No.160 at Shettleston on June 6 by Elizabeth McAnulty, "her X mark", Mother.
He was baptised (as John McInulty) by Fr. George McBrearty in the parish of St. Paul's, Eastmuir on June 2 with sponsor Mrs Margaret Cunningham.
Sadly, John died in 1875, age 2.
1875 Henry McAnulty (Single) died at 9h30m a.m. on Monday, March 1 at Green Street, Shettleston, Lanark, age 3 years, of Scarlet Fever after Eight Days, as certified by Wm. Ewing, Surgeon.
