John and Rose had the following children (that I know of), all born in Tollcross, Lanarkshire —

Catherine	(1859 - after 1891) married Thomas Scanlan in 1889 and is covered elsewhere.
Sarah	(1862 - after 1891) married Patrick Canning in 1885 and is covered elsewhere.
John	born in 1863, last sighting 1891.
Mary	born in 1866, last sighting 1891.
Ann	born in 1868, last sighting 1881.
Patrick	(1871 - 1901), married Catherine Scanlan in 1894.
Thomas	born in 1874, last sighting 1891.
James (1)	(1876 - 1878).
James (2)	born in 1878, last sighting 1891.

1894 On Friday, April 20, Patrick McGhee [sic] and Catherine Scanlan were married at St. Francis Chapel, Cumberland Street, Glasgow after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.114 at Glasgow [Hutchesontown District] on May 7.

Patrick was a Bachelor, gave his age as 21 [he was 2 months short of his 23 birthday], occupation Coal Miner and usual residence 1 Causewayside Street, Tollcross. His parents are recorded as John McGhee, Coal Miner and Rose McGhee m.s. Gallacher.

Catherine was a Spinster, age 22, occupation Cotton Winder and usual residence 335 Mathieson Street [off/part of Ballater Street], Glasgow. Her parents are recorded as Richard Scanlan, Papermaker (deceased) and Norah Scanlan m.s. Barrie [sic]. [See Section SC-6-1 for family background.]

The celebrant was Aiden McCarthy and the witnesses were Thomas McGhee [probably Patrick's brother] and Elizabeth Burns.

Patrick and Catherine had the following children (that I know of) —

John	born about 1898 in Tollcross, last sighting 1911.
Richard	born about 1900 in Tollcross and died in 1901.

1900 Richard McGhee was born at 1h30m a.m. on , March 16 at 16 Graham Street, Tollcross to Catherine McGhee m.s. Scanlan and Patrick McGhee, Coal Miner who married on April 25 [sic], 1895 at Hutchesontown, Glasgow. His birth was registered No.168 at Shettleston on March 24 by Patrick McGhee, "his X mark", Father, Present.

1901 Patrick McGee, Coal Miner, married to Catherine Scanlan, died at 5h30m a.m. on Thursday, June 13 at 16 Graham Street, Tollcross, age 29 years, of Double Pneumonia after 10 days, as certified by Hughillar Kay, M.D. & C.M. His parents are recorded as John McGee, Pithead Labourer and Rose McGee m.s. Gallacher. His death was registered No.208 at Shettleston on the same day by Catherine McGee, Widow, Present.

1901 Richard McGhee (Single) died at 8h30m p.m. on , September 3 at 16 Graham Street, Tollcross, age 1 year 5 months, of Pneumonia after 12 days, as certified by H.J. Cosgrove, Physician. His parents are recorded as Patrick McGhee, Coal Miner (deceased) and Catherine McGhee m.s. Scanlan. His death was registered No.280 at Shettleston on the following day by Catherine McGhee, Mother, Present.

1904 On Friday, December 30, Catherine Scanlan or McGhee married Patrick Carroll at the Sacred Heart Chapel [Bridgeton], Glasgow. [See Section CA2-7-3 for further information.]
