1897 Michael McGuire, Coal Miner, Married to Margaret Leslie, died at 8h30m p.m. on Tuesday, August 24 at 1 Dunlop Street. Tollcross, age 51 years [if he was 25 when he married in 1864, he was nearer 57 now], of Bronchitis after 4 days, as certified by James Wells, MBCM. His father is recorded as Michael McGuire, Farmer; his mother's name is not recorded; both were deceased. His death was registered No.202 at Shettleston on the following day by Edward McGuire, Son, Present, 134 [sic] Main Street, Tollcross.
Michael McGuire, age 52, cause of death Paralysis, was buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Dalbeth on August 27. He is stated to be a Friend of the owner, title 1226, section 8E, lair 163. A fee of 12/6d was charged.

1906 Margaret McGuire, Widow of Michael McGuire, Coalminer, died at 9h0m a.m. on Wednesday, February 14 at 2 Maurice Place, Tollcross, age 54 years [if she was 19 when she married in 1864, she was nearer 61 now], of Cerebral Haemorrhage as certified by H.J. Cosgrove, Physician. Her parents are recorded as Edward Leslie, Labourer and Bridget Leslie m.s. Leckie, both deceased. Her death was registered No.21 at Baillieston [Old Monkland West] on the same day by Edward McGuire, Son, Present.
Margaret McGuire, age 60, cause of death Apoplexy, was buried with her husband in St. Peter's Cemetery, Dalbeth on February 16. The relationship to the owner is not stated but I suspect she was the owner, title 1226, section 8E, lair 163. A fee of 10/6d was charged.
