Theresaborn about 1879 in West Calder and married Patrick Keating in 1905.
Janeborn about 1879 in West Calder, last sighting 1901.
Elizabethborn about 1881 in West Calder and married Francis Carty in 1902

but I can't find likely births in Scotland, nor can I find the family in the 1881 or 1891 censuses.


1901 March 31 Part of the family were living at 17 Manse Road Buildings, Stane in a house with two windowed rooms.

1902 On Thursday, July 24, Elizabeth married Francis Carty at St. Patrick's, Stane. [See Section CY-7-4 for further information.]


1905 On Monday, January 2, Patrick Keating and Theresa McGeachie were married at the R.C. Oratory [Shotts] after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.3 at Stane on January 6.

Patrick was a Bachelor, gave his age as 27, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence 95 Stane Place, Shotts. His parents are recorded as James Keating, Furnace Keeper and Mary Keating m.s. McGuinness, both deceased.

Theresa was a Spinster, gave her age as 27, occupation Domestic Servant and usual residence 120 Stane Place, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as John McGeachie, Coal Miner and Mary McGeachie m.s. McInulty (deceased).

The celebrant was Peter Hilgers and the witnesses were John McGeachie and Nora Elliot.

“For convenience, Fr. Kelly had procured a building, next to the Bank house, which is near the [present] presbytery. There he set up an Oratory where Mass was said on weekdays at 9 a.m. Part of this building was also used as a recreation room where billiards and other games were played.” — from St. Patrick's Parish, Shotts, Centenary, 1868 - 1968, Page 19.


1906 Theresa Keating was born at 4h30m a.m. on Tuesday, May 15 at 144 Stane Place, Cambusnethan to Theresa Keating m.s. McGeachie and Patrick Keating, Coal Miner who married on January 2, 1905 in Calderhead [District]. Her birth was registered No.148 at Stane on May 26 by Patrick Keating, Father, Present.


1907 Rosina Keating was born at 2h0m p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at 70 Stane Place,, Stane Cambusnethan to Theresa Keating m.s. McGeachie and Patrick Keating, Coal Miner who married on January 2, 1905 in Calderhead [District]. Her birth was registered No.324 at Stane on December 21 by Patrick Keating, Father, Present.


1910 Patrick Keating was born at 2h0m p.m. on Thursday, May 19 at Headlesscross, Stane, Cambusnethan to Theresa Keating m.s. McGeachie and Patrick Keating, Coal Miner who married on January 2, 1905 in Calderhead [District]. His birth was registered No.154 at Stane on June 7 by Teresa [sic] Keating, Mother.


1911 April 2 Patrick and Theresa were living at 1 Headlesscross near Stane in a house with 2 windowed rooms.
