Mary Ann Reynolds was born on April 9, 1903 in Shotts, Lanarkshire to Ellen Leonard (1876 - 1940) and Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner (1874 - 1961). [See Section RS-71-1 for family background.]

1928 On Wednesday, August 15, William Wilson and Mary Ann Reynolds were married at St. Peter's Church, Glasgow After Banns According to the forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.257 at Glasgow (District of Partick) on the same day.

William was a Bachelor, aged 24, occupation Iron Foundry Labourer and usual residence 38 Westwood Road, [Mansewood,] Glasgow. His parents are recorded as William Wilson, Electric Crane Driver and Margaret Wilson m.s. McCracken.

Mary Ann was a Spinster, aged 25, occupation Domestic Servant and usual residence 18 Highburgh Road, Glasgow [off Byres Road]. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner and Helen Reynolds m.s. Lennard.

The celebrant was John Rogan [possibly of the Tollcross Rogans] and the witnesses were William Smalls, 6 Hyndland St., Partick and Margaret McBride, 36 Hyndland St., Partick.

1935 Helen Reynolds Wilson was born at 7h15m a.m. on Monday, September 30 at 107 Beith Street [Partick] to Mary Ann Wilson m.s. Reynolds and William Wilson, Motor Car Driver who married on August 15, 1928 at Partick, Glasgow. Her birth was registered No.760 at Glasgow (District of Partick) on October 4 by Wm. Wilson, Father (Present).

1935 Mary Ann Reynolds, married to William Wilson, Motor Car Driver, died at 5h50m a.m. on Thursday, October 10 at Belvidere Hospital, Glasgow (usual residence, 107 Beith Street, Partick), aged 32, of Puerperal Fever, Peritonitis and Broncho-pneumonia as certified by James A. Montgomery, MD. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner and Ellen Reynolds m.s. Leonard. Her death was registered No.773 at Glasgow (District of Shettleston) on the same day by Wm. Wilson, Widower, Present, of 107 Beith Street, Glasgow.

Mary Ann was buried on October 12 with her father's parents and her sister Agnes in Stane Cemetery. She appears in the cemetery records as a housewife, address 107 Bath Street, Glasgow, age 32, married, daughter of Patrick Reynolds and Ellen Leonard, The grave was opened to a depth of 4ft for a fee of 8/-.

1935 Helen Reynolds Wilson died at 10h40m a.m. on Tuesday, October 15 at 142 Springhill Road, Shotts (usual residence 107 Beith Street, Partick, Glasgow) aged 2 weeks, of Cellulitis of Foot and Laryngitis as certified by John Hinds, MBChB. Her parents are recorded as William Wilson, Motor Driver and Mary Ann Wilson m.s. Reynolds (deceased). Her death was registered No.65 at Shotts (District of Calderhead) on the same day by John Munro, Uncle, Present.

Helen was buried on October 16 with her mother in Stane Cemetery. She appears in the cemetery records as a child, address 142 Springfield Road, Shotts, age 14 days, daughter of William Wilson and Mary Ann Reynolds. The grave was opened to a depth of 3ft for a fee of 4/-.

Peter McGovern was born about 1903 to Helen Wilson ( - ) and Hugh McGovern, Coal Miner ( - before 1943).

Bridget Reynolds was born on February 28, 1911 at 25 High Street, Shotts to Ellen Leonard (1876 - 1940) and Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner (1874 - 1961). [See Section RS-71-1 for family background.]

1943 Peter McGovern and Bridget Reynolds and were married on Wednesday, March 3, at St. Patrick's Church, Shotts After Publication According to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.12 at Shotts (Calderhead District) on March 5.

Peter was a bachelor, aged 40, occupation Pitheadworker and usual residence 7 Huntly Terrace, Shotts. His parents are recorded as Hugh McGovern, Coal Miner (Deceased) and Helen McGovern now O'Hare m.s. Wilson.

Bridget was a spinster, aged 32, occupation Office Cleaner and usual residence 28A Jordan Terrace, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner and Ellen Reynolds m.s. Leonard (Deceased).

The celebrant was Daniel Harty, Catholic Priest, St. Patrick's, Shotts and the witnesses were Thomas O'Hare, 7 Huntly Terrace, Springhill, Shotts and Letitia Reynolds, 28A Jordan Terrace, Shotts.

1944 Ellen Leonard McGovern was born at 1h30m a.m. on Friday, January 4 at 2 Torbothie Road, Shotts to Bridget McGovern m.s. Reynolds and Peter McGovern, Colliery Surfaceworker who married at Shotts (Calderhead District) on March 3 1943. Her birth was registered No.6 at Shotts (Calderhead District) on January 14 by Peter McGovern, Father.

Ellen married John McGurk on April 4, 1964.

1945 Hugh McGovern was born at 11h30m p.m. on Thursday, August 9 at 2 Torbothie Road, Shotts to Bridget McGovern m.s. Reynolds and Peter McGovern, Colliery Pithead Worker who married at Shotts (Calderhead District) on March 3 1943. His birth was registered No.101 at Shotts (Calderhead District) on the following day by Peter McGovern, Father.

Sadly, Hugh lived only five weeks.

1945 Hugh McGovern died at 3h45m p.m. on Thursday, September 13 at the County Hospital, Cleland (usual residence 2 Torbothie Road, Shotts), aged 1 month, of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus as certified by E. J. Haddow, MBChB. His parents are recorded as Peter McGovern, Colliery Pithead Worker and Bridget McGovern m.s. Reynolds. His death was registered No.164 at Cleland (West District of Shotts) on the following day by Peter McGovern, Father, of 2 Torbothie Road, Shotts.

Hugh was buried on September 14 beside his maternal grandmother, Ellen Leonard, in Stane Cemetery, Section C, Lair 327. The cemetery records give his age as 3 weeks and the grave was opened to a depth of 4ft.

1964 On Saturday, April 4, Ellen Leonard McGovern married John McGurk at St. Patrick's Church, Shotts After Publication According to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.40 at Shotts (Calderhead District) on April 6.

John was a Bachelor, aged 20, occupation Mechanical Engineer and usual residence 133 Manse Road, Forth. His parents are recorded as Peter McGurk, Builders Labourer and Janet McGurk m.s. Quinn.

Ellen was a Spinster, aged 20, occupation Sports Equipment Factory Worker and usual residence 7 Huntly Terrace, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as Peter McGovern, Coal Miner - Retired and Bridget McGovern m.s. Reynolds.

The celebrant was Thomas Brooks, RC Clergyman, St. Patrick's, Shotts and the witnesses were Thomas McGurk, 57 Carmuir, Forth and Theresa Moore, 21 Burnside Crescent, Shotts.

1970 Joanne McGurk was born at 1912 hours on Saturday, June 6 at the Maternity Hospital, Bellshill to Ellen Leonard McGurk m.s. McGovern and John McGurk, Plant Fitter (usual residence 44 Southfield Avenue, Shotts) who married on April 4, 1964 at Shotts. Her birth was registered No.107 at Shotts on June 16 by Ellen McGurk, Mother.

Sadly, Joanne lived only 4½ months.

1970 Joanne McGurk (DOB 6/6/1970) died at 1950 hours on Sunday, October 25 at 44 Southfield Avenue, Shotts, aged 4 months, of Broncho Pneumonia as certified by Katherine M. Miller, M.B.Ch.B. Her parents are recorded as John McGurk, Plant Fitter and Ellen Leonard McGurk m.s. McGovern. Her death was registered No.259 at Shotts on the following day by John McGurk, Father.

Joanne was buried on October 27 in Stane Cemetery beside her maternal grandmother's parents, Patrick Reynolds and Ellen Leonard, and her uncle Hugh McGovern. The cemetery records give her age as 4½ months and the grave was opened to a depth of 3ft.

John Rodgers was born about 1916 to Waronika Szakaezinte ( - ) and Wincas Randonas, Coal Miner ( - ).

Letitia Reynolds was born on October 24, 1921 at 25 High Street, Shotts to Ellen Leonard (1876 - 1940) and Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner (1874 - 1961). [See Section RS-71-1 for family background.]

1945 On Saturday, April 28, John Rodgers and Letitia Reynolds were married at St. Patrick's Church, Shotts after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.34 at Shotts on May 2.

John (formerly Jonas Randonas), was a Bachelor, gave his age as 29, occupation Coal Miner - On Cost and usual residence 142 Springhill Road, Shotts. His parents are recorded as Wincas Randonas, Coal Miner and Waronika Randonus m.s. Szakaezinte.

Letitia was a Spinster, gave her age as 23, no occupation recorded and usual residence 28A Jordan Terrace, Shotts. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Reynolds, Coal Miner and Ellen Reynolds m.s. Leonard (deceased).
