Ellen Reynolds was born on Friday, June 5, 1891 at 96 Omoa Square, Cleland to Ellen McDermott (1869 - 1953) and Joseph Reynolds, Coal Miner (1868 - 1933). [See Section RS-6-6 for family background.]
1915 On Friday, December 31, Matthew Brown and Ellen Reynolds were married at the Roman Catholic Chapel, Cleland [St. Mary's] after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.6 at Cleland on January 4, 1916.
Matthew was a Bachelor, age 24, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence 52 Nimmo's Rows, Holytown. His parents are recorded as James Brown, Platelayer and Bridget Ward, previously Brown m.s Rooney, both deceased.
Ellen was a Spinster, age 24, no occupation recorded and usual residence Parkside, Cleland. Her parents are recorded as Joseph Reynolds, Coal Miner and Ellen Reynolds m.s. McDermott.
The celebrant was Peter Murray and the witnesses were Patrick McQuoy and Annie Reynolds [probably Ellen's sister].

1937 On Friday, September 17, Hugh Reynolds and Matilda Callaghan or McFarlane were married at St. Mary's Chapel, Cleland after Banns, according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.25 at Cleland on September 20.
Hugh was a Bachelor, age 43, occupation Barman and usual residence 62 Biggar Road, Cleland. His parents are recorded as Joseph Reynolds, Coal Miner (Hewer) (deceased) and Ellen Reynolds m.s. McDermott.
Matilda was a Widow, gave her age as 35, no occupation recorded and usual residence 38A Main Street, Cleland. Her parents are recorded as Charles Callaghan, Coke-oven Worker and Annie Callaghan m.s Young.

1921 On Saturday, August 6, Patrick Reynolds and Catherine Leddy were married at St. Ignatius Church, Wishaw after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.129 at Wishaw on August 8.
Patrick was a Bachelor, age 22, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence Windyedge Cottage, Cleland. His parents are recorded as Joseph Reynolds, Coal Miner and Ellen Reynolds m.s. McDermott.
Catherine was a Spinster, gave her age as 20, occupation Dressmaker and usual residence ?? Roberts Street, Wishaw. Her parents are recorded as Samuel Leddy, Boiler Furnaceman (Steelwork) and Mary Ann Leddy m.s McAvoy.
The celebrant was Jos. Van Hecke [previously parish priest of St. Paul's, Shettleston 1885 - ] and the witnesses were Hugh Reynolds [probably Patrick's brother] and Mary Leddy.

Richard was a Bachelor, age 26, occupation Coal Miner and usual residence 62 Biggar Road, Cleland. His parents are recorded as Joseph Reynolds, Coal Miner and Ellen Reynolds m.s. McDermott.
Rose was a Spinster, gave her age as 28, occupation Shop Assistant and usual residence 8 Jack Street, Motherwell. Her parents are recorded as Thomas McGinness, Steelwork Labourer and Catherine McGinness m.s McIlroy.

McGinness and Richard Reynolds, Coal Miner who married on August 23, 1929 at Motherwell. Her birth was registered No.121 at Cleland on December 12 by Richard Reynolds, Father, Present.
Sadly, she lived only 3 days.
1929 Katherine Reynolds (Single) died at 7h0m p.m. on Saturday, December 14 at Paterson's Building, Main Street, Cleland, age 3 days, of Premature Birth, 3 days 14 hours, (7th month) as certified by Geo. Hugh Logan, MBChB. Her parents are recorded as Richard Reynolds, Coal Miner and Rose Reynolds m.s. McGinness. Her death was registered No.89 at Cleland on December 16 by Richard Reynolds, Father, Present.
