This is a hypothetical family, created in an attempt to connect Sarah Dunigan, married to James McGee, with two Dunigan households in Shettleston.
Let us assume Thomas and John Dunigan are brothers, born in Ireland.
Thomas Dunigan married Elizabeth Marlie and they had at least one son —
Henry, born about 1801 in Ireland, married about 1830 to Mary Smith who was born about 1808 in Glasgow. [See Section DG-5-2 for further information.]John Dunigan married Ann Campbell and they had some children 'mongst whom I would place —
Bernard, born about 1805 in Ireland.John, born May 28, 1809 in Girvan.
Sarah, born about 1810 in Girvan, married in 1830 to James McGee who was born about 1810 in Co. Down, Ireland. [See Section MG-5-1 for further information.]
Ann Campbell died and John then married Catherine Cairney [though I have been unable to find such a marriage in the online Catholic registers, nor in the OPRs] with whom he had further children —
Elizabeth, born about 1815 in Shettleston or Glasgow.1816 Catherine, lawful child of John Dunnegan and Catherine Cairney, was baptised on Sunday, July 28 by Fr Andrew Scott in the parish of St Andrew's, Glasgow. The child was born on Wednesday, July 17.
1818 Nancy [later Agnes], lawful child of John Dunnegan and Catherine Cairney, was baptised on Sunday, May 17 by Fr Andrew Scott in the parish of St Andrew's, Glasgow. The child was born on Tuesday, May 5.
The only conflicting evidence so far is that Bernard claimed to be an uncle when registering the deaths of Elizabeth and Catherine. But that's small beer compared to the assumption that Thomas and John were brothers.
1833 Thomas & Elizabeth Donegan were baptismal sponsors of Ann, lawful daughter of James McGee & Sarah Donegan in St Andrew's, Glasgow on October 27.
1841 June 6 The following household was living in Shettleston within that part of the Parish of Shettleston bounded on the West by the Parliamentary Boundary of the City of Glasgow, on the North by Lightburn, on the South by the Edinburgh Road via Airdrie [now Shettleston Road I think] and on the East by the Old Cotton Work [and I'm not sure where this was]. [Note that in the 1841 census only, the age of adults was rounded down to a multiple of five.]

Ireland Jas Trainer 25 do. Ireland Shortly after this census, Catherine married William McGee, Coal Miner, born in Glasgow. I know nothing more about him and have no way of connecting him with the Lightburn McGees.
However, there is an entry in the Register of Baptisms for St Andrew's, Glasgow for William, lawful child of Henry McGhee (Taylor) and Jean Glover, registered on May 11, 1817 with a birth date of May 8. The sponsors were Daniel McGowan and Betty Sweeney. The celebrant was Andrew Scott.
A daughter Catherine was born to Catherine and William in 1842.
1841 July Agnes married Samuel Hill according to the birth certificate of their daughter Maria, born in 1861. [See Section HL-5-1 for further information.]
1842 Catherine, lawful child of Wm McGee and Catherine Dunigan was born on Thursday, September 15 and baptised by Fr Jeremiah Long in St Mary's, Abercromby Street on October 17 with sponsors Bernard Dunigan and Elizabeth Dunegan.
1851 March 30 The remainder of the family were living in the Cotton Land, Shettleston.

There is a Thomas with the same details recorded a few doors away with his parents Henry Dunigan and Mary Smith, who would be a great-nephew of John's. I suspect that this is a double listing.
Agnes and Samuel were also living in the Cotton Land.
Not far away in Paterson's Land, there were

There is no record of the death of a William McGee in Shettleston between 1855 and 1859 so either he died before the start of civil registration in that year or he died furth of Shettleston. The same applies to John Dunigan.
1852 The following is to be found in the Register of Baptisms for St Paul's, Eastmuir —
Samuel, lawful child of Samuel Hill and Agnes Dunigan, Con.[vert?] C., was born on Wednesday, August 11, 1852 and baptised on September 5 by Eugene Small with sponsors James McGhee and Ann McGhee.
1852 John Donegan, age 73, was buried on December 29 in Dalbeth Old Cemetery, cause of death Old Age and a fee of 4/- was paid. Unfortunately, there is no lair reference for burials at that date.
1859 Catherine McGee, Widow of a Coal Miner, died at 5h0m a.m. on Friday, March 4, aged 41 [actually 42], at Shettleston, Lanarkshire of Dysentry after 15 days as certified by Robert Steven, Surgeon who last saw the deceased on the same day. Her parents are recorded as John Dunigan, Hand Loom Weaver and Catherine Dunigan m.s. Cairney, both deceased. Her death was registered No.41 at Shettleston on the following day by Bernard Dunigan, "his X mark", Uncle, Residing in Shettleston, Present.
She was buried in Dalbeth Cemetery, certified by J. Rowan Pro Wylie & Lochhead, Undertakers.
1861 April 8 In the Large Cotton Land, Shettleston, in a house with one windowed room, there dwelt —

In 1851, both Bernard and Elizabeth were recorded as the children of John Dunigan so I don't know what to make of the uncle and niece relationship here, or the fact that Bernard has apparently aged 15 years.
1861 On Tuesday, April 23, Catherine McGee married Thomas McNulty at [St. Paul's RC Church] Eastmuir, Shettleston [See Section MY-6-3 for further information.]
1863 Elizabeth Dunigan, Cotton Weaver, Single, died at 0h30m p.m. on Thursday, April 23, aged 50, at Shettleston, Lanarkshire of Typhus Fever after 3 weeks as certified by Wm. Young, Surgeon. Her parents are recorded as John Dunigan, Cotton Weaver and Catherine Dunigan m.s. Carnie, both deceased. Her death was registered No.43 at Shettleston on the following day by Bernard Dunigan, "his X mark", Uncle, Present.
There is an entry in the records of the Old Cemetery, Dalbeth for April 24 for the burial of Elizabeth Dunigan, aged 40 who died of Consumption. A fee of 4 shillings was paid for the burial. The lair reference is not recorded.
1867 Bernard Dunigan, Pauper formerly Weaver (Widower), died at 8h0m p.m. on Friday, December 20, aged 67, at Barnhill Poorhouse, Springburn of Chronic Diarrhoea as certified by D. McGregor, Physician. His parents are recorded as "unknown". His death was registered No.510 at Springburn on December 26 by G. Wilkie, Supt. of Barnhill Poorhouse.
I don't know where the “Widower” comes from. There is no marriage of a Bernard Dunigan registered between 1861 and 1867.
