1894 On Monday, January 1, Edward Maguire and Maggie Lynch were married at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Tollcross after Publication according to the Forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The marriage was registered No.12 at Baillieston on January 3.
Edward was a Bachelor, gave his age as 22 [he was 24¼], occupation Coalminer and usual residence No.1 Dunlop Street, Tollcross. His parents are recorded as Michael Maguire, Coalminer and Margaret Maguire m.s. Leslie.
Maggie was a Spinster, gave her age as 20 (she was 21¼], occupation Power Loom Weaver and usual residence 20 Main Street, Tollcross. Her parents are recorded as John Lynch, Coalminer and Maria Lynch m.s. Healy.
The celebrant was Edward Doody and the witnesses were Thos. Scully and Catherine Lynch [probably Maggie's sister].

1898 There is a birth of John Lynch McGuire registered in Shettleston. (try 622/2-352)
1898 John Lynch Maguire was born at 6h35m a.m. on , July 15 at High Denniston, Main Street, Tollcross to Margaret Maguire m.s. Lynch and Edward Maguire, Pit Sinker who married on December 31, 1893 [sic] in Old Monkland (West). His birth was registered No.352 at Shettleston on July 18 by Edward Maguire, Father.

1900 John Lynch McGuire (Single) died at 9h40m p.m. on Tuesday, January 16 at High Dennistoun, Main Street, Tollcross, age 1 year 6 months, of Measles, 3 weeks, Broncho Pneumonia, 10 days, as certified by David Thomas, MD. His parents are recorded as Edward McGuire, Pit Sinker and Margaret McGuire m.s. Lynch. His death was registered No.26 at Shettleston on the following day by Edward McGuire, Father, Present.
John Lynch McGuire, age 1 year 7 months, cause of death Pneumonia, was buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Dalbeth on January 18. He is stated to be the Grandchild of the owner, title 1226, section 8E, lair 163. A fee of 7/6d was charged.
1900 Margaret McGuire was born at 8h0m p.m. on Thursday, August 2 at High Dennistoun, Main Street, Tollcross to Margaret McGuire m.s. Lynch and Edward McGuire, Coal Miner who married on December 31, 1893 [sic] in Old Monkland (West). Her birth was registered No.466 at Shettleston on August 4 by Edward McGuire, Father.
1901 March 31 The family were living at 136 High Dennistown [north side of Main Street, just east of Causewayside Street] in a house with 2 windowed rooms. Two families share this address.
