Francis was a Bachelor, gave his age as 25, occupation Furnace Man and usual residence Clyde Iron Works, Old Monkland Parish. His parents are recorded as Michael Happie, Farmer and Helen Happie, m.s. McKenna.
Susan was a Spinster, gave her age as 24, occupation Steam Loom Weaver and usual residence also Clyde Iron Works, Old Monkland Parish. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Havlin, Furnace Man and Mary Ann Havlin, m.s. Kean.
The celebrant was Fr. G. McBrearty, R.C. Clergyman and the witnesses were Patrick McBride and Annie Havlin [probably Susan's sister].

Patrick Havlin, age 75, cause of death Debility, was buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Dalbeth on January 15. He is stated to be the owner of lair 318, section 9C, title 2218. A fee of 8/6d was paid.
