Mary Colvin was born on Monday, December 3, 1866 in Lightburn, Shettleston to Margaret McGee (c1839 - 1905) and Daniel Colvin, Coal Miner (at that date) (c1837 - 1917). [See Section CL-6-1 for family background.]

Patrick was a Bachelor, aged 32, occupation Brick Work Labourer and usual residence as Milncroft, Shettleston. His parents are recorded as Michael Taggart, Brick Work Labourer and Eliza Taggart m.s. Boyle.
Mary was a Spinster, gave her age as 26 [she was 30!], occupation Steam Loom Weaver and usual address Lightburn, Shettleston. Her parents are recorded as Daniel Colvin, Road Surfaceman and Margaret Colvin m.s. McGhee.
The witnesses were John Taggart [Patrick's brother] and Cecilia Colvin [Mary's sister].

Peter was a Bachelor, gave his age as 24, occupation Spirit Salesman and usual residence 3 Franklin Street, [Bridgeton,] Glasgow. His parents are recorded as John Keaney, Farmer and Ann Keaney m.s. McMorrow.
Maggie was a Spinster, age 25, no occupation recorded and usual residence Lightburn, Shettleston. Her parents are recorded as Patrick Taggart, Coall Merchant and Mary Taggart m.s. Colvin.
The celebrant was Daniel Colvin [Maggie's uncle], Catholic Clergyman, St. Constantine's, Ure Street, Govan and the witnesses were Joseph Stewart, 23 Forrestfield Street, [Blochairn,] Glasgow and Elizabeth Taggart, Lightburn, Shettleston.
